Mark Trevarthen is a Procurement Manager at Mars, a company that is world-renowned for excellence in vendor management. In recent years Mars has issued both RFPs and RFIs covering Global Mobility services.

In this session, Mark will share with attendees procurement’s perspective on managing a Global Mobility RFP. His session will cover all aspects of the process including:

Why and when to issue an RFP
RFPs and RFIs compared
Drafting the RFP documents – dos and don’ts
Liaising with bidders and internal stakeholders
Reading and scoring RFP documents
Site visits and orals
The decision making process
Price negotiation
SLAs and Contract negotiation
Stakeholder announcements and bidder liaison
Transition Management

This fascinating session will cover both lessons learned and some tips for attendees on the dos and don’ts of running a successful RFP process.

Description: AIRINC’s Mobility Outlook Survey was first published in 2008 during the heart of the global financial turmoil. Since then, the focus of the survey has shifted from the impact of economic conditions on the global workforce to strategic planning within mobility programs. This year’s survey captures the different policy offerings companies are utilizing, or considering utilizing, as they expand into overseas markets. In offering new and different ways to move assignees, companies are providing the flexibility needed to maintain or increase expatriate populations while improving cost effectiveness. Organizations are tailoring the policies supported within their mobility frameworks to meet their unique business needs. During this session, Kay Hall will be focusing on the three major themes of this year’s Mobility Outlook Survey results: Diversity, Flexibility and Context.
